UAE Air Force responds to UAV approaching territorial waters from Iran
Ministry urges residents to follow verified updates and avoid spreading unconfirmed reports
ABU DHABI – The UAE Air Force responded to an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) detected over the country’s territorial waters as it approached from Iran, the Ministry of Defence said on Monday.
It also denied media reports claiming that Al Menhad Air Base was targeted by missiles, confirming that such reports are false.
The ministry said the UAE Armed Forces remain on a high state of readiness to deal with any potential threats and protect the country’s security.
It added that air defence systems are operating around the clock to monitor the UAE’s airspace and respond to any developments.
